FAQ:

Q: What is the Sprint Buyback Program?
A: The Sprint Buyback Program collects old, unwanted wireless phones and aircards regardless of carrier or manufacturer. Many of these devices are eligible for instant credit toward the purchase of a new phone at a Digital Highway location.

Q: What is the benefit of the Sprint Buyback program?
A: The goal and benefit of the Sprint Buyback program is to collect your old, unwanted wireless phones and aircards and to properly reuse or recycle the electronic waste - maintaining our environment for future generations.

Q: What if I want to trade in a device from a carrier other than Sprint?
A: Sprint is offering a trade-in credit through the Buyback Program for many devices from other carriers. You can check eligibility and the trade-in amount at sprintbuyback.com. If your phone or aircard does not qualify for a credit, you can still donate it to Sprint Project Connect.

Q: How can I participate in the Sprint Buyback program?
A: New or existing Sprint customers can visit your local Digital Highway location to see if your current device qualifies for a trade-in credit toward a new Sprint phone or aircard.

Q: If a phone cannot be repaired, what does Sprint do with it?
A:

  • Some devices are recycled into parts which are used to fix broken devices.
  • Many are broken down to be reused in other manufactured products.
  • Note: All recycling program vendors are ISO certified. All recycled products meet Federal and State environmental regulations.

Q: What happens to the equipment that is recycled through the SprintBuyback Program?
A: The equipment will be tested by a technician to assess the condition. Most of the phones can be reused. Sprint invests significant resources to clean, refurbish, update the software and repair the handsets. They are then thoroughly tested again before they are considered ready for other uses. If the equipment cannot be repaired, they can still be used for parts or they are recycled according to all Federal and State environmental regulations.
